Bright Morningstar Kitchen

“The Bright Morningstar Kitchen” is a unique soup kitchen found in the heart of Berkshire County, that has restaurant-style dining. Residents can come together in an inviting, comfortable atmosphere and enjoy a 3 course meal of their choice completely free of cost.

Beyond being a meal site, this program also provides workforce development training tailored to the regional hospitality industry, providing neighborhood residents with hands-on experience and real- life skills needed to enter the workforce.

The kitchen also provides a space for residents to learn cooking and nutrition skills that encourage long-term health and wellness. It also acts as a multiple function community space, providing space for educational programming, cooking workshops, demonstrations, and food events. This helps strengthen and build food security leading to a healthier and economically stronger neighborhood and community.
